My name is Ziye, and I’m an actor, singer, and occasional percussionist based in Toronto, Canada.

I originally fell into the arts as a form of connecting with others and bridging cultural gaps, having been raised in six different countries before the age of 18. What I discovered was that no matter where in the world I was, theatre, music, and comedy was a universal language, and that through the arts, people were less of a stranger to me. The arts were my only constant home growing up, and finding this feeling of home is what motivates me today in my professional career as an artist.

I am a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, a recent company member of the Stratford Festival, and just finished a run in Tweed & Co’s production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee in the role of Chip. I also recently appeared as Huang in Bachelor Man at Tarragon Theatre, a role which earned me a 2025 BroadwayWorld Toronto nomination in the category of Best Supporting Actor in a Play.

Onscreen, I have appeared in Lido TV (CBC Gem), Star Trek (CBS), and The Greatest (Prime).
