Hey world!
My name is Ziye, and I’m an actor, singer, and occasional percussionist based in Toronto, Canada.
I grew up in six different countries before the age of 18, and the only thing that could bridge the gap between all of the disparate worlds I was a part of was the arts. Theatre, music, and comedy gave me a feeling of home no matter where I was, and this feeling is still the thing that motivates my professional career as a performer.
I am a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, an alum of the Stratford Festival, and most recently appeared as Huang in “Bachelor Man” at Tarragon Theatre’s Mainspace, a role which earned me a 2025 BroadwayWorld Toronto nomination in the category of Best Supporting Actor in a Play.
My onscreen credits include Lido TV (CBC Gem), Star Trek (CBS), and The Greatest (Prime). I have also appeared in… my fair share of commercials.
